In Christchurch, we did three popular activities: taking the gondola, punting on the Avon River, and having dinner at the Tramway Restaurant.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t so good on that day we visited. Nevertheless, we still followed our plan. First, we took the gondola up the hill and went for an easy hike to the Mount Pleasant. Although we couldn’t have a clear panoramic view, it was still a great and pleasant experience.
After that, we visited the Riverside Market which was smaller than I expected, but better than I had imaged. We chose our meals, and I had a pad thai, which was surprisingly not too salty. Sean had a hot dog, and after he finished his meal, he played around with red leaves. There were a bunch of red leaves beside our seats, and he just jumped into them for fun. Later, we took a walk along the Avon Rivier to the meeting point for our punting tour.
Compared with punting on the River Cam in Cambridge, the experience here was quite different. In Cambridge, they introduced many bridges along the river. Here, the guide introduced many kinds of birds instead. It’s very informative and relaxing.
For dinner, we had booked the Tramway Restaurant. We had multi-course meal while traveling around the city. It was a unique and fun experience. The food was great, and the wine pairing was amazing. However, Christchurch is still quite quiet at night, and there were not many places still open. It’s just typical New Zealand!
基督城-紐西蘭南島旅遊
在基督城，我們體驗了三個熱門的活動：搭纜車跟Avon River撐船還有在Tramway上面吃晚餐。
這天天氣沒有很好，想說搭纜車上山可能沒有什麼view，不過我們還是照著計劃走，還好在上面的時候，有時雲霧開了還蠻漂亮的，今天時間有限，我們也就在上面小小的健行一段，偶而看到有人騎車跟跑步上山，以後這邊可能也是我的訓練場？
下山之後我們就去Riverside Market，比我想像中的要小，不過整體感覺蠻乾淨的，沒有很雜亂的感覺，大家就各自選自己想吃的食物，吃完的時候，旁邊有一堆落葉跟紅葉，翔就過去玩，之後我們就去撐船的集合地點去體驗撐船，跟英國劍橋的不太一樣，這邊都在介紹鳥，英國劍橋都在介紹各種經過的橋，總之也是個蠻悠閒的體驗。
之後我們就去逛逛跟回飯店休息，我們是住在Avon River旁的Quest，蠻方便的，也有廚房可以煮早餐，就等著去吃Tramway的晚餐，這個活動就是坐著Tram car在城市中晃，然後在上面吃晚餐，蠻特別的體驗，而且餐點也蠻好吃的，我們有選幾份wine paring，也很好喝，很享受滿足的一餐，但繞一繞也是沒有什麼熱鬧的地方，這就是紐西蘭呀！
